1. Rock climbing, queso and margarita night with the ladies.
2. Tendonitis. Because it’s so much better than a fracture.
3. Epsom salts & hot, hot bathwater. 
4. Gossip Girl on Netflix. I’m not ashamed to say it (okay, maybe I am just a little ashamed to say it) - I needed a totally mindless show to watch, and Gossip Girl has delivered.
5. That tomorrow is a new day.

It’s been a rough week. I think it’s about to get rougher, but I can control my reaction to the roughness (and when that fails, my friends are ready to scale a wall, drink margaritas, then leave me alone with my trashy tv). And there is always a new day around the corner. 

Tonight I saw the new Sigur Ros live film, INNI, and I feel like my skin is buzzing with electricity. So I will write about some things.

Blogging about the Wilco show has been on my to do list since October 3 and time has not served to organize my thoughts in any sort of cohesive manner. I’m cutting my losses on that one. It will live on in my memory but not in the all-important Tumblr. 

I went to New York about a week and a half ago for a long weekend. New York City is one of my favorite places and it was nice to go for pleasure and not for work for once (though I managed to schedule in a day at the office). A close friend just moved there and it was a weekend full of the best people, the best times and filling my once-a-year go-out-dancing-until-4am quota. 

I wrote a post on Halloween that I posted privately. In retrospect, I wish I had published it. 

2011 is slipping away fast. There will be a trip to the mountains, two more trips to New York, a visit from a bff, a trip to Virginia for Christmas and a rare, low-key Thanksgiving at home in Nashville before it’s over. 

1. I ran more than 3 miles last night and did not hate it for the first time ever (but today my body is all, “WTF dude”)
2. Purchasing roller skates this weekend
3. The August trips I planned to Rock Island and Holiday World and Great Smoky Mountains National Park last night in a fit of restlessness
4. Mad Men on Netflix instant watch
5. Bon Iver at the Ryman tonight!

1. You will swallow a lot of bugs
2. You will spend most of your time figuring out how to pace yourself to get far away from that creepy guy who is running really close to you, but you can’t really run that far or that fast without walking and then he will catch up with you again oh no
3. You will begin making up stories in your head about massive drug rings at the very vanilla park by your house to distract yourself from the shooting pain in your legs
4. You will arrive home with bugs in your hair and that’s fine because at least they aren’t in your mouth
5. You will not be able to sit down on your microsuede couch (or anywhere really but especially your microsuede couch) without leaving a sweat stain for at least 30 minutes

1. I am tired and need a vacation.

1. Get into Pinterest. 
2. File my taxes (yes, still). 
3. Empty my inbox. 
4. Write the damn Weekendist (it’s too late now, isn’t it?)
5. Focus. On. Anything. 

And as a bonus, one thing that I did successfully complete tonight? 

1. Watched my entire Hulu queue.

1. Cut off 10 inches of my hair.
2. Went to Earth Day in the park and ate a delicious veggie burger with local cheddar from Mitchell Deli. It cost $5, and personally I think that’s a steal since all of the sandwiches at Mitchell’s cost more than $5. The great deal made it taste even better. 
3. Sweet Cece’s with gummy bears.
4. Watched Nashville’s roller derby team get stomped into the ground, which was sort of depressing, but had a great time with friends. 
5. Got pulled over for speeding and charmed the police officer by telling him all about the roller derby and that of course I had not been drinking because clearly I cannot afford the $9 Bud Lights at the roller derby. Did not get a ticket. 

1. The Nashville Film Festival. I just love the film fest so, so much. It’s one of the best things about Nashville, and every year it just gets better and better. If you are in Nashville, go read my list of ways you can film fest it up for free, and go. 
2. Drinking things that are not water. Thursday is my last day of 40 Days of Water and I could not be happier. I’m happy that I could contribute to a great cause and I am proud that I had enough discipline to complete it, but let’s get real - this sucked more than anything has sucked in a while. And on that note, for not having a lot of sucky things in my life, I am definitely thankful. 
3. A week of temperatures in the 70’s (and randomly 50’s) and hopefully no tornadoes. That means it will not be 85 degrees in my house. I enjoyed the beautiful sunny weekend, but April is too early for 90 degrees. 
4. Planning my next vacation. I’m going to head to New England in May to visit my grandparents/aunts/uncles/cousins/etc. I may or may not try to throw a trip to Denver in there too. Last week I had to book a flight to NYC for work for the end of April and was surprised at how expensive flights are right now, so booking my vacation flights early is now at the top of my list. My last real time-off-of-work vacation was in September and I am excited.
5. Finally filing my taxes. I won’t even go into the circumstances that have prevented me from doing so until now, because they are absurd. I am just looking forward to finally being able to file, get my refund, and order a new bed since I’ve been sleeping on some variation of directly on the floor/a hand-me-down mattress on the floor/a stack of two hand-me-down mattresses on the floor for the past six years.

1. That yellow bell peppers were not $1.99 each.
2. That there were three (or more) days in the weekend.
3. That my windows were not painted shut.
4. That I could be magically capable of meeting all the goals I set for myself. 
5. That I had time before bed to finish season 3 of Ugly Betty, take a nice long bath, finish my book club book (don’t even) and write all of this week’s Nashvillest posts. WHY MUST I CHOOSE.

1. Take out my contacts
2. Drink some water
3. Hang my curtains
4. Go to sleep, but…
5. …Watch Glee before I read any more spoilers on Tumblr.
